Happy Holidays!!!

With the holidays right around the corner, we are approaching what is always an exciting time of the year. Keeping the spirit of the holidays in mind, our team is committed to making your move whether during the holidays or any other time of the year to be as hassle free as possible.

Holidays can be stressful at the best of times but throw in the mix of a move, and this can make things seem even more overwhelming.   Well don’t let them be.  Our professional movers can make your move as stress free as possible, from packing up your items to making sure they are delivered, unpacked and put away for you.

Here are some tips to make your holiday move more enjoyable.

1. Put up decorations that can move with you. You don’t want to spend the holiday season without any decorations, but neither do you want your holiday move complicated by an elaborate tree and other things that will need to be unpacked and repacked at the last minute. Instead, find a few favorite holiday decorations and put those out. A holiday wreath for the door or a small tree can also be moved easily from one home to the next and will help your new home feel special from that very first day.

2. Consider dining out for the holidays. Although big family dinners are nice during the holidays, such big feasts just aren’t feasible when you’re trying to pack up your belongings and get ready for that holiday move. However, that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on getting together with friends and relatives. Instead of a home-cooked meal, have your feast at a restaurant this year. After all, it’s the people, not really the food, who make the occasion special.

3. Share all of your contact information. Holidays are a time you can reach out to family and friends. Make sure that those people who are important to you know where you’re going to be and how to contact you throughout the moving process.

4. Take your Christmas celebration with you. If you’ll literally be spending the holidays on the road, find hotels that are planning holiday events and/or dinners. A warmly-decorated hotel may not be home, but it’ll be a lot more festive than a cold, sterile hotel lobby.

5. Explore your new community. Spending the holiday season in an unfamiliar city can seem kind of sad. However, it can also be a great opportunity to explore your new home town and to meet people you wouldn’t encounter other times of the year. Most cities host special events, concerts and light displays during the Holiday season that make great family activities.
